    A sustainable success story: PSI Sustainability Awards enter the fourth round

    Sustainability is attracting more and more attention across the promotional products industry. This trend is also reflected in the development of the PSI Sustainability Awards, the industry’s only sustainability prize, which is presented in various categories. While 46 companies had demonstrated that the topic played an important role for them by participating in the 2016 premiere, that number increased to about 70 just three years later. Most recently, a total of 374 certificates were presented as proof of the environmental, economic and social character of companies, products and campaigns. Companies have until 20 April to apply for what’s already the fourth edition of the PSI Sustainability Awards.

    The winners of this year’s PSI FIRST Club are innovative, practical and sustainable. From 9 to 11 January, they competed for the affection of promotional products distributors and marketing executives as three of the altogether 50 new products at PSI 2018. Trade show visitors cast their vote to decide which products they would deploy as part of a campaign.

From 9 to 11 January, visitors will, for example, be able to attend exciting lectures on topics such as finishing, sustainability, quality assurance and data protection at the PSI Institute – Best Practice Forum in Hall 9, Stand M28.

    Leading by example: PSI 2018 first trade show to do away with plastic cups

    Porcelain instead of plastic: PSI 2018, acting as an ambassador for sustainability in the promotional products industry, will be the first trade show worldwide to introduce a 2Go deposit system for porcelain cups. Supported by the 2Go specialists at Mahlwerck Porcelain and Gleensheep Technologies, plastic cups for coffee and tea will be eliminated in the halls of the Exhibition Centre Düsseldorf from 9 to 11 January. In addition, the theme of sustainability will be featured on several levels at PSI.

    Expanded: PSI 2018 to offer even bigger promotional products programme

    A logo, a slogan, a picture: only finishing turns textiles into promotional textiles. Reason enough for giving finishing processes a leading part in PSI’s 2018 programme. The Leading European Trade Show of the Promotional Products Industry will feature an expanded textiles selection to showcase the vast array of options in that area and to give the promotional products industry a heads up on emerging trends in shirts, caps and scarves.

    Writing still means culture: PSI 2018 to showcase paper, office and stationery trends

    Stationery products are the most popular promotional items of all – say 40 per cent of Germans. And Germany isn’t the only country where pens are preferred to all other promotional products. They also lead the Top 10 of most coveted promotional products in Canada, the UK, France and Australia. Notebooks, calendars and Co. are perennial favourites, too.
