Promotional Products Industry: number of the month August
Textiles are the top sellers of the promotional products industry. In the latest PSI Industry Barometer, nearly 25 per cent of promotional products distributors said they generate their highest sales with textiles. More than 20 per cent of suppliers stated the same. This much is clear: whether they’re ultra-modern or used for protection at work, whether they’re classically plain or unabashedly colourful, textiles are the true all-rounders in the promotional products industry.
The most recent visitor survey revealed that textiles are audience favourites at the PSI Show, as well. A whopping 35 per cent of PSI visitors in 2017 said they attended the show because of a specific interest in shirts and other apparel. About 30 per cent were also interested in finishing options. Reason enough to expand the selection at the next PSI Show. Visitors interested in textiles can look forward to a number of premieres in this segment, including five hands-on practice islands on all things finishing, discovery tours and the first-ever cotton learning path. In addition, the Textile Area featuring the CATWALK as its eye-catcher – the runway showcasing the latest exhibitor collections – will also be a part of the programme for the promotional products industry’s textiles pros.
