They come top of the list in London, Paris, Sydney and Berlin when talk turns to the popularity of promotional products: stationery items. In the USA alone, 56 per cent of consumers own a printed promotional pen, according to the recent 2014 study of promotional products by the Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI).

The mood was festive Friday night at the Classic Remise in Düsseldorf. On 11 September, the listed historic roundhouse from the 1930s – home today to a permanent classic car exhibit – served as the sophisticated backdrop for the presentation of prizes in eight categories at the inaugural PSI Sustainability Awards 2015. The award, which delivers reliable proof of sustainability in the industry, was created by the PSI. The name sponsor and key contributor is “James & Nicholson”, a Daiber brand.

Those who use or receive promotional items often want to know where they come from and under what conditions they were produced. For the first time, the Promotional Product Service Institute (PSI) is now offering reliable evidence of sustainability in the sector.

If a promotional product is new, innovative or different in some way, then it is in good hands with PSI FIRST, particularly if the promotional product industry has not yet set eyes on it by the beginning of the PSI 2016. The première show, PSI FIRST, held from 13 to 15 January in Düsseldorf, Germany in collaboration with the PSI, offers the industry 50 exclusive product launches in one go.
