    Stimulating a fresh start

    A virus, lockdown and a roadmap to a new normality: COVID-19 has monopolised world attention for the past few months. Now that some countries are at last tentatively emerging from lockdown, we can cautiously begin to look forward to the future again. Whereas the current financial year is going to be hallmarked by a severe economic downturn, it is to be hoped that the three trade shows, PSI, PromoTex Expo and viscom (12th – 14th January 2021) will provide the impetus for a fresh start next year.

    Six decades of sustainable business: Exclusive PSI 2020 offer for members

    It’s the No. 1 industry meeting place in Europe and the innovation centre of the industry. Major enterprises and organizations as well as important masterminds and personalities from the promotional products industry will come to Düsseldorf from 7 to 9 January 2020. Paul Ballantone, President of the world’s biggest association will share insights into the American market and will be available for questions and advice with his colleagues.     Five Years of PSI Sustainability Awards: the winners in 2019

    From the meteorological point of view the night was calm – but it was raining stars in Wiesbaden on 6 September when the shining lights of the sustainability scene in the promotional products industry were recognised. In the company of some 140 sustainability promoters from the sector the PSI celebrated five years of PSI Sustainability Awards that night – the only sustainability award in the promotional products industry. Once again serving as a stage for this spectacle was the magnificent Wiesbaden Kurhaus, already previously hosting the second PSI Sustainability Summit.

    For 60 years the International Network of the Promotional Products Industry has celebrated sustainable business, lasting contacts, trends and innovations – and above all: a strong community. From 7 to 9 January the PSI trade show will be held concurrently with the parallel events viscom and PromoTex Expo for the second time now.

    Combatting global waste with promotional articles

    For Clemens Arnold (2bdifferent), Melissa Streif (Warth und Klein Grant Thornton), and Anja Heidbüchel (Reed Exhibitions Deutschland GmbH), the 5th July was entirely dedicated to examining social and ecological initiatives, sustainable products and campaigns, all created by the promotional product industry. For the first time, all three were part of the 7-strong expert jury which met up on the day to prepare for the PSI Sustainability Awards. After the preliminary round of judging, a total of 74 finalists qualified for the next stage, in which they will be competing for the only sustainability prize currently awarded to the promotional product industry, which also happens to be celebrating its fifth anniversary this year. The winners of the competition will be announced in the magnificent surroundings of the Wiesbaden Kurhaus on 6th September. Once again, the PSI Sustainability Summit will provide the prelude to the industry’s sustainability day.

    PSI Sustainability Awards 2019: apply by 30 May the latest

    The promotional products industry focuses ever more strongly on the three pillars of sustainability: economy, ecology and social matters. PSI, the international network of the promotional products industry, has documented and promoted this commitment with the PSI Sustainability Awards since 2015. This year sees the only sustainability awards in this industry being presented for the fifth time now – but with an extended participation procedure and over 260 companies that were already pre-nominated as a result of this.
